Finding Confidence, Curiosity, and Compassion
I am a licensed marriage and family therapy associate in the state of Texas and Wisconsin and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Quincy University as a student-athlete, along with my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in couples therapy from Northcentral University. I worked in the treatment industry as a Clinical Director of a behavioral healthcare facility. I have held a variety of roles, including being an intensive outpatient counselor, residential treatment counselor, and the family services manager. I believe that addiction is a family disease; therefore, therapy is necessary for everyone who is a part of the system.
My specialty is working with couples who have been impacted by substance abuse and those who have stopped believing in themselves. I believe in addressing the whole system focusing on healing the internal conflict that lies within the system. I do this by using several therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with my clients on addressing attachment injuries, internal conflict, finding internal balance, and increasing individuals' confidence in themselves.
I am a United States Marine Corps veteran, a former collegiate basketball player, and a devoted dog dad. In my free time, I enjoy a variety of sports, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.
